Stop repeating some of these common lawn care mistakes, and have a beautiful green yard this month.
Water Deeply
Water your lawn thoroughly and less often. Apply 4 to 6 inches of water to your lawn. This will allow the roots to reach deep soil nutrients.
Don't Cut Too Short
Each grass has an ideal length - find it and keep it. Shorter grass won't be able to sustain harsh weather as easily.
Fertilize Twice
It's best to fertilize in the fall and in the spring. The fall so grass can survive the long winter, and in the spring to try and jump-start your lawn back to life.
Balance pH
You want to balance your soil somewhere between 6 and 7.2 on the pH scale. If you're not sure of your soil composition, take a sample with a tablespoon, and send it to get tested.
