Ever put your doorknob through the wall? It's a rather simple and easy fix when you know what to do.
Materials & Tools
- Joint Compound
- Self-adhesive Fiberglass Mesh tape or patch
- Drywall Joint or Taping knife
- Mud Pan
- Sand Paper
Apply Fiberglass
Place the tape or patch over the hole. If you're using tape, make sure it's wide enough. You don't want to overlap the mesh tape upon itself.
Add Joint Compound
Take your drywall knife and spread the joint compound evenly over the tape. Make sure the joint compound fills the hole, and work off any excess compound. When it dries, sand it smooth, paint over it, and enjoy your fixed wall.
